It mainly serves as an auxiliary texturing tool for the following applications:

Creating Cloth-like Texture: It can imprint a linen or fabric-like texture onto the coating surface. On the final coat of Venetian plaster or microcement, lightly tapping or dragging it across the semi-dry surface breaks up the smoothness of large areas, creating a rich matte cloth-like texture and adding depth.

Glazing & Detailing: Because the bristles are usually soft and specially shaped, it is ideal for local glazing. Lightly passing it over corners and edges creates natural transitions, or "lifts" texture in areas that need emphasis, giving the wall a more handcrafted look.
