Sponge Blocks(PT-HMK)
Creating Organic Texture: The natural pores of sea sponges leave irregular, mottled textures on the coating surface. On the semi-dry surface of Venetian plaster or microcement, lightly dabbing or dragging with a sea sponge breaks up the smoothness of large areas, creating rich textures resembling clouds, leather, or aged stone, and adding visual depth.
Glazing & Softening Transitions: Because the sponge's pores can absorb and release just the right amount of pigment, it is ideal for local glazing. During the burnishing or coloring stage of microcement, lightly passing the sea sponge over the surface creates natural color transitions, or "lifts" texture in areas that need emphasis, giving the wall a more handcrafted look.
Metallic / Shimmer Effects: On metallic or pearlescent paint layers of Venetian plaster or microcement, the sea sponge can create a subtle, shimmering metallic sheen. By lightly dabbing, metallic pigments adhere to the surface in irregular patches, creating a premium, "weathered by time" aesthetic.
